TL;DR
Booking a paid session for the first time? Here's exactly how payment, cancellation, currency, and the Google Meet call work — so you can book with confidence.
Paying for someone's time online is still new for a lot of people. This guide walks through exactly what happens when you book a paid session on Tenbin — payment, cancellation, currency, time zones, and the call itself — so there are no surprises.
How payment works
When a session has a price, you pay at the moment you book, securely through Stripe. The expert sets the price; you see the exact amount before you confirm. Payment goes directly to the expert via Stripe — Tenbin never holds your money. Guests don't pay any Tenbin fee: on a paid link, the amount you see is the expert's session price, nothing added on top.
Currency and time zones
Prices are shown in your currency where possible, and Stripe handles conversion automatically. Availability is shown in your time zone, so a slot that says 3:00 PM is 3:00 PM for you — no mental math across regions. The confirmation and the Google Meet link arrive by email.
Cancellation and rescheduling
Every expert sets their own cancellation policy, and it's shown on the booking page before you pay. Read it so you know the window for changes or refunds. If you need to reschedule, follow the link in your confirmation email and check the terms that apply to that booking.
The session itself
At the scheduled time, click the Google Meet link in your confirmation email. There's nothing to install. The expert joins the same call. After it ends, the booking simply closes — no invoices to chase, no follow-up admin.
Your privacy
Tenbin handles scheduling and payment, not your personal records. Experts who run Tenbin connect their own calendars on a read-only availability basis, so booking with one expert never exposes your details to another. You share only what you choose to in the session.
FAQ
- Is it safe to pay through Tenbin?
- Payment is processed by Stripe, a global payment provider, and goes directly to the expert. Tenbin never stores your card details or holds your funds.

- What if I need a refund?
- Refunds follow the cancellation policy the expert set, which is shown before you pay. Check that policy on the booking page and use the link in your confirmation email.
- Do I need to install anything for the call?
